Allie, the inspiration behind the Buck-It! Cover

The Buck-It! Cover Story
Meet Allie. She’s the co-founder of Head 2 Hoof; and as you can see, she’s also a Thoroughbred. She’s been my travel partner for years, or rather I have been hers. Anyone travelling with a horse knows the demand they have on time, effort, and coordination. You soon feel like you have become their roadie, with all you have to do to keep them content. But you do it, and you enjoy it, because they’re the “stable one in your life” and they’re worth it. That’s how I felt- that’s how I feel, about Allie.
It wasn’t long after travelling that I started dealing with the same issues that most equestrians experience. Stress around feeding Allie while travelling. Flat back buckets were a challenge to travel with. In fact, all buckets were challenging in their own way; providing the stress of knocked over feed and water, thanks to Allie’s playfulness.
It was cute at first; but as we all know, that cuteness wears. This game that Allie was playing, of “I’m gone to spill it and you’re gone to have to go fill it again game”, was anything but fun. While I call it a game, it actually became quite stressful for Allie- as chewing and frustration would proceed. I would try binder twine, and just about everything else I had on hand each trip. I would try tying to fences, trailers, and even trees.
I searched for products for many months, but all I found where fixed mounted, designed for a stall or coral at home. They lacked the flexibility of being able to attach to any style fences, stalls or panels. When travelling to clinics, competitions or shows, rarely did we know what the pen will be like when you get there. I needed adaptability, portability, and durability.
It was then that the Buck-It! Cover was born. My determination led me to creating Allie her very own solution to her “game”. I created a product that allowed me to keep her feed and water securely in place, no matter where we were. Soon feeding during travel became less of a chore and more of a time for us to bond during our trip.
Our product has become a solution for equestrian owners around the world, and we just recently launched our very own canine line! We thank you so much for stopping by, as we venture into our goal of building stronger relationships between our friends and “the stable ones in their life”.  The Buck-It! Cover Story
